Its finally arrived, change, hundreds of new electrical car chargepoints are set to be installed in the UK with funding from the Government, local councils, NHS trusts and train operators who will all help provide points. Leeds Bradford Airport Hits 3 Million

Leeds Bradford Airport has hit a huge mile stone with the news that it (LBA) has broken its 3 million passenger rolling figure, according to latest numbers from the CAA.

Passenger traffic was up by almost 20% in May and 13% in June compared to the same time last year, boosted by the successful delivery of its aviation development strategy to increase the number of operational airlinea and choice of routes.

The airport based in West Yorkshire is now one of the fastest growing regional airports in the country and are hoping for continued success.

The recent internal and external developments at the airport have proved popular and with the upcoming plans to extend the runway, things are looking bright for the future of LBA.

Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airport’s Marketing Director, said:

“LBA’s significant increase in passenger traffic and extended route and airline choice for 2013 is particularly pleasing in such a competitive marketplace. We work closely with all our airline partners to introduce new routes and add frequency on existing services, and our efforts are now reflected in the airport’s increase in passenger numbers.

Currently drivers only have to read a number plate that is 20.5 metres away with glasses or lenses if you are required to have them and that’s it, no other required checks not even for 70 year old drivers who reapply for their licence they merely just have to tick a box. Drink Driving Deaths RiseEveryone knows that drink driving is a serious issue and can result in accidents or even deaths which has been proven. The police are always trying to stomp down on drink driving with the conviction if caught being much more serious than it used to previously, and rightly so according to recent data. Last year it was found that fatalities that included alcohol raised by a sharp 25% on last year according to provisional data. Double Yellow Parking AllowedNew government plans have established that drivers may soon be allowed to park on double yellow lines given that they are there for a short period of time. Its reported that many are calling for a short 15 minute period that they are allowed to park on the double yellows, this could provide more parking spaces for short errands however surely there is a reason for double yellows being there in the start and it could become common that every 15 minutes there is a new row of cars parked upon them.
