Public Transport Flu Fears Abolished

A regular train traveller myself I’m always worried about the hygiene with people constantly being ill in such a closed confined space it’s bound to have some sort of effect. The latest fear partially due to the weather recently is that of Flu, a survey was rolled out to 6,000 people from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine and the results found that aside from common belief public transport was no more likely to aid in you catching the flu than any other form of travel. That’s pretty much how the phone call would go, but yes its right there’s a 105 year old still driving on the roads today, he unsurprisingly has plenty of experience with having his licence since 1925. That can’t be safe for other drivers though can it? Well according to him he has only had one accident and one speeding ticket in which he is said to deeply regret and is still aggravated at the fact he got it, safer than most drivers on the road today and with far more experience. Lane Hoggers Face Fines

Careless drivers could face an on the spot fine of £100 Stephen Hammond road safety minister revealed yesterday. This will give the police more flexibility when it comes to dealing with minor careless driving offences like middle lane hogging or tailgating which previously had to go through the courts for anything to happen. As well as the cost for being caught carelessly driving other driving offences are also set to rise in fines such as not wearing a seatbelt or using a mobile phone which are going to equal the £100 fine for careless driving. On the M40 junction 2 at Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire the first ever motorway pub is set to open after the Government consider lifting alcohol sales at service stations. The pub is going to be a JD Wetherspoon’s pub which will be open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and able to serve alcohol from 8am to 1am the first of said to be many pubs that will be rolled out across service stations in the UK.
