Car Rental With Chinese Driver Licence

Car hire can often be awkward with their terms and conditions and one real issue we see time and time again is for Chinese people. When travelling to the UK from a different country you need to have a driving licence that is in English if you aren’t inside the EU, if you don’t then you must apply for an international licence and this is where the issue arises for people from China, in China you are not allowed to apply for an international driving licence so if you are travelling to another country and want to hire a car it can be a really big issue. Many of you may already know that Indigo offer a meet and greet service to your home address, and this is pretty standard in the industry meet and greets are regular. Cheaper Fuel With Indigo Car Hire

Fuel prices have always been a cause for concern, continually rising to an expense so high it even puts some of us off driving. Fuel was never that cheap but now it’s just ridiculous, and when you’re on your holidays you need to hire a car in order to get around and with the cost of that and the petrol as well as any other extras and of course the cost of your holiday, it all begins to add up rapidly. So why don’t you save yourself a few pennies with our new deal?

Indigo Car Hire have managed to negotiate a deal with a supplier which allows us to sell fuel when you hire a car cheaper than what it would be if you went directly to the major fuel pumps! But just how much will you save by booking with Indigo?

It’s time for another little case study.

Our full tank of fuel is priced at £1.25/p Litre when you hire a car through us, here are the prices of fuel for your average small, medium and large car on unleaded petrol.

Small Car – A small car on average is approximately 40 litres for a full tank that would cost you a total of £50.00

Medium Car – A medium car on average is around 55 litres which makes the cost of a full tank of fuel rise to £68.75

Large Car – Larger cars are usually around 65 litres on an average which bring the full tank of fuel to a cost of £81.25

Now let’s compare these prices with some of the popular petrol stations around the company, we have chosen BP, Asda and Morison’s to compare the price of our fuel to theirs.

Asda – They are currently £1.36 for a litre of unleaded fuel that would make the full tank of fuel for the different sized cars cost: £54.40/small, £74.80/medium, £88.40/large quite a bit higher than Indigos price.

BP – The current price £1.32 which is lower than Asda and that means the full tank of fuel costs: Small/£52.80, Medium/£72.60 and Large/£85.80.

Morison – The current price today for Morison’s is £1.38 that makes the prices: Small/£55.20, Medium/£75.90 and a large/£89.70.

Therefor you would make a huge saving when you book with us an buy a full tank of fuel beforehand, as an average of all these three major fuel companies
Here are the averages for the larger companies for a full tank of fuel:

Small: £54.1
Medium: £74.4
Large: £88

Where as for Indigo which you can see above you make a saving of:

Small: £4.10
Medium: £5.65
Large: £6.75

If you are interested in buying this fuel through Indigo and saving some money on your rental car please let us know and we will arrange it for you straight away!

Big Change To The Traditional Steering Wheel

Is there set to be a big change to the traditional steering wheel? Inventor Rene Guerster believes he may have developed something that could be seen in cars of the future. The idea is a new steering wheel system that prevents drivers from having to make unsafe hand over hand movements when they are turning the classic steering wheel. He claims that the main fault with modern cars is that it can take up to two and a half turns in order to steer the wheel which inevitably leads to move collisions, roll overs and related accidents as drivers will often panic and oversteer. Dog friendly car hire

With an estimated pet population of 71 million with approximately 45% of households totalling 13 million owning pets. The top pets are Fish, Dogs, Cats, Rabbits and Birds but let’s cut to the chase, the animals that you are likely to want to be bringing in cars are either dogs or cats, usually! Pets need to be fed and looked after on a regular basis especially dogs and cats as they crave attention, this is where the issue around holidays comes along, do you or don’t you take your pet on holiday?

I have a dog and I know when I went on holiday I pretty much left him at home and had a relative come and walk and feed him on a regular basis but when I got back he started to bark at me almost as if to vent his anger, and thinking about it I should of brought him on holiday with me as I had a staycation within the UK. The only issue or so I thought with this was car rental didn’t allow you to have a pet in the car which is understandable due to hairs, dirt and everything else they trail in.

Are Dogs Allowed In Rental Cars?

Are dogs allowed in rental cars

Pets, including dogs are allowed in rental vehicles if you use selected companies. Some companies have different restrictions and may require you to keep your pet in a crate, however there are some that may be fine with having a dog in the vehicle as it is. In order to ensure that you don’t get any fine in regards to cleaning you should always clean the car before returning it if you have had a pet in the vehicle. Before making your booking you should always double check this with the supplier, this is something we would be happy to do for you.

Want To Have Pet Friendly Car Hire? Call Us

Pet friendly car hire is available in a variety of locations across the UK however and if you do choose to go with Indigo Car Hire we do please ask that you contact us before the time of the rental so that we can organise your hire with the right supplier who will accept this pet friendly car hire. There are certain conditions of this type of rental that we also need to make you aware of however if you are interested in hiring a car and having either a dog or a cat during the rental period then please call us on +44 (0)113 880 0748 or email us on sales@thealternativeagency.co.uk.

Is There Anything Else To Consider For Pet Friendly Car Hire?

As touched upon previously, you won’t be charged for having a pet in your car rental by several suppliers, however you may be charged if the car is returned in anything other than a very clean condition. As this is the case, if you have had a pet, like a dog or a cat in the car then it’s likely that it will shed and if you return it without cleaning it you could be subject to a fine.
