Excitement continues to build as the long awaited opening of the £60m arena in Leeds is set to open with the first act on stage being a concert from none other than US Rock Superstar Bruce Springsteen. It’s a rare occasion but the building has been built on time and on budget and its ready to welcome many world class acts to the city of Leeds. Teams of special volunteer city ambassadors are getting ready to be on hand to greet people arriving at the railway and bus stations given them information on how to get to the arena or general information about Leeds.
A total of 7,721 parking spaces within a 15 minute walk of the arena they are definitely preparing for a large amount of people to be attending “The Bosses” performance. The 120 million albums he has sold worldwide make him a more than worthy act to open this new beautiful arena. Fans from all over the UK and possibly the world will pack into the arena hopefully filling its capacity and making the first direct arena’s first night a memorable one.
If you don’t already know, Bruce Springsteen is an American singer-songwriter who is known for his heartland rock and poetic lyrics. He is a legend of the circuit and has been preforming at concerts since the 1970s, he is one of the biggest rock stars of all time ranked 23rd greatest artist of all time in the Rolling stones. He has 20 Grammy awards, two golden globes and an Academy award to his name, made famous for albums like Born to Run and Born in the USA its almost certain he will be rocking the packed arena tonight in Leeds as devoted fans flocked to secure their tickets with his next 3 dates on his tour already sold out.
There are generally a few reasons you hire a car, on your holidays, business trip or moving house this can lead to you doing a lot of driving on these trips. Nobody wants to do too much driving especially if you are planning to relax and have a good time it’s the last thing you want to be doing. There has been some wacky obsessions over the years with a variety of different things one of which has been people’s obsession to get into the Guinness World Records. The Guinness book of world records is basically as it describes, an official book full of world records. There’s some pretty weird stuff in this book, anything you can think of there’s a high chance that there’s already a record set for it from being the oldest Gymnast at the age of 86 to having the largest 340 piece drum set. Many people who drive vehicles will often find themselves left stuck and unable to collect a hire car because you may have been caught out and got a conviction on your licence whether it be an IN10, DR10 or CD10.
Well I can confirm that with every rental company if you have a major endorsement for Drink Driving or No Insurance then you will more often than not be able to hire the car due to the supplier’s restrictions and rules that are in place, especially if the conviction date was within the last 5 years. This is because you are seen as an insurance risk so the insurers of the rental companies don’t want to hire out cars to you. (more…)
Everyone wants to be like James Bond, cool, slick and own the latest gadgets and cars. Speaking of cars there’s been a fair few in the bond movies hasn’t there, Alfa Romeo’s, SAABs, Bentleys, Aston Martins, Audis and the list is never ending. There is one in particular that stands out however, the Lotus as it wasn’t just any Lotus. Your licence is very important to keep updated, outdated licences can land you in a lot of trouble with the law. It’s revealed however that over two million motorists in the UK are believed to have out of date driving licences and are still regularly driving on the road. When drivers get their licence it’s a very common misconception that this is for life however it does have to in fact be renewed, possibly the reason drivers think this is because of the renewal period being a long ten years. International Peace Day takes place later this month on September 21st, with numerous events scheduled to promote peace all across the globe. When you are travelling to Spain many people opt to hire a car, and in most Spanish locations there is one car hire company that is significantly cheaper than the rest, it also happens to be the supplier that we have to book through in order to get you debit card car hire.
