First Load Of Bags Sent Off To St Gemmas

The guys in the office have been busy sorting through their unwanted things to fill up some charity bags for our chosen charity St Gemmas Hospice. We managed to fill a total of 12 bags which we are told on average are worth about £35 per bag to the charity. So the first £420 has been chalked off of the total for this year.

Tracie Harrison from St Gemmas popped in to collect the bags, we assumed she would turn up in a van but no, its was a blue Vauxhall Corsa, which we have now nicknamed the tardis due to its surprising loading capacity.

This is a great start and we are determined to hit our target this year, to keep up to date with how we are doing or to sponsor us, please visit our St Gemmas Page

Tyre Warning

TyreSafe, a company that advises on tyre safety as is implied in the name have issued advice to motorists in the UK in regards to tyre tread depth. They have said that due to the consistently wet summers in the UK it’s important to have the adequate tyre tread depth to be able to have good traction on the wet summer roads. Car That Calls For Help

The European Commission wants all cars by 2015 to be ready to call an emergency number by themselves if the event of a crash happens and the owner is unable to call for help. Technology these days would make this possible, people crash all the time and many car crashes are fatal, could this new suggested system save lives? In the event of an accident the eCall will automatically send a message to emergency services, the true genius comes in the fact that the system won’t respond to lower impact parking errors such as parking so it wouldn’t waste emergency services time. Aston Martin Luxury Car Revealed

This one’s for the petrol heads out there, the new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante bit of a mouthful if you ask me is the luxury car that Aston Martin have just unveiled. The first fully carbon fibre skinned Volante that the 100 year old history of Aston Martin has ever released. Some of the features are truly fantastic but for the price wow it should be, although I suppose it is a “luxury” car, as a loose term I would refer to it more as a speed demon technical term I know. The car boasts a price tag of £199,995 because the extra £5 to tip it over £200k was obviously a step too far. (more…)
