Careless drivers could face an on the spot fine of £100 Stephen Hammond road safety minister revealed yesterday. This will give the police more flexibility when it comes to dealing with minor careless driving offences like middle lane hogging or tailgating which previously had to go through the courts for anything to happen. As well as the cost for being caught carelessly driving other driving offences are also set to rise in fines such as not wearing a seatbelt or using a mobile phone which are going to equal the £100 fine for careless driving. A plane was seen by passers by flying towards the direction of Heathrow with a murky black trail behind the planes right hand side engine, this was filmed by an eyewitness said to be a local, it was also very apparent to the passengers who could visibly see the issue on board. The plane which was a British airways plane was originally heading for Oslo but detected technical difficulties during the flight and decided it would be best to turn back; it approached Heathrow soon after just taking off after many had seen what appeared to be the engine on fire.
