BMW Have Record Breaking August
Bayerische Motoren Werke AG or more commonly known as BMW are a manufacturing company of cars, motorcycles and engines and have been since 1916. BMW are well known for their luxury cars and compete with companies such as Audi and Mercedes-Benz. Equipped with nearly 100 years’ experience, constant trial and error and vigorous testing BMW have really exceeded expectation this August and produced record sales figures, the highest sales figures BMW have ever had for the month of August reaching a massive high of 139,648.
This isn’t the only success that BMW have had of recent they have also broken their record for worldwide sales which was recorded at 1,246,528 vehicles sold so far this year, well on course to continue the growth in sales and become the best year ever for the manufacturers.
Eager to make an impression and further their sales tally BMW are currently presenting their latest new models, the 4 Series Coupe and the third generation of the BMW X5 which were both introduced at the Frankfurt motor show and are almost certain to be a success. The X5 goes on sale in November as a last ditch attempt to boost even more sales at the end of the year it’s also quite competitively priced and boasts much greater efficiency along with several other features.
Oh and we almost forgot, the BMW i3 is also set to be released in November which is almost sure to be an instant hit. The i3 price starts at £369 per month leased and is attracting a wide amount of interest as it could be one of the best electric cars to be on the road, but we will have to see. The battery of an i3 can charge to 80% in three hours which is extremely impressive, the UK also has a funded installation of recharge points at your house which you may be able to get which is also going to significantly help BMW.
BMW have come far from the small three wheeled front opening door classic car all the way to the luxury car they are today. The high end brand has won several accolades in its time including one of the most recent being the #1 most reputable company awarded by Frobes in 2012. It begs the question, what’s better BMW, Audi or Mercedes?
