The Floridian law that came into place on January 1st 2013 in regards to having to have an international driving licence in order to hire a car in Florida this shocked many people and left them unable to acquire a car during their holiday. A common car hire question is can I use an overseas license when hiring a car within the UK?
The answer is most certainly yes through Indigo Car Hire. Restrictions do apply depending on which country issues the license. There are also requirements surrounding whether the renters resides in the UK. With this in mind there is always a solution. Do other companies accept overseas licenses in the UK?
Many car hire companies frown upon the use of overseas license particularly if it is written in a different language as its not easily understood and not accepted on British roads. You may therefore need to obtain an international driver permit. To apply for an international license you must have a license within your country. There maybe a fee and to fill out a form within your country of residents after which you will be permitted your international license. Once you have your international license you can hire a car throughout the world and its defiantly worth getting as it can save you a lot of time in the future if you are a frequent traveler.

Budget statement on scrapping fuel plans
There was a planned fuel rise to hit by the 1st September 2013 of around 1.89 pence per litre of fuel these plans outraged the public when they were announced a while back. Yesterday the chancellor announced that he was going to cancel the fuel duty plans, this is the longest fuel duty freeze for over 20 years which is of course a great statistic for the party.
