Hiring A Car At Faro Airport And Driving To Spain
We recently received a question regarding this from one of our previous customers and we thought it was a great topic to inform our readers, the exact question was “Do you hire out cars to drive from Faro airport to Isla canella in Spain?”. People often get confused about hiring a car in Portugal and dropping it off in Spain because of the proximity of both of the countries, so we are here to help and clear it up a bit.
The simple answer and good news is that you can hire a car from Faro Airport and drop it off at any major airport within Spain such as Barcelona airport, Madrid airport, Malaga airport and more. Two of our suppliers will allow this from any major Portuguese airport to any major Spanish airport.
Cross Border Fees –
There are cross border fees included in this and the price of which ranges depending on how long you are hiring the car and where you are wanting to drop it off. We will however always find you the best price available for your given dates and times, we won’t just take into account the cheapest cross border fees we will take in to account the total price of the rental and pick you the cheapest.
As part of this you do have to meet the standard conditions of 23 years old and have held your licence for a year prior to hiring with us. Can I Pay A Deposit In Cash?
I will start by answering this straight away; you can’t pay for your deposit in cash. Nothing in relation to car hire works in cash, you may only use credit cards and some debit cards in specific locations.

Refund For Unused Days
When you book a hire car we make sure that you are aware that will not be refunded for any unused days that you have booked it for no matter the duration. This is really inconvenient and it’s not one of our rules its one with our suppliers, it’s unfortunate but although it may seem like it’s unfair to not be given your money back when you return it early, there is good reason for it.
The reason you don’t tend to get refunds for unused days is because the rate scales, as an example if you were to book a car for 10 days it could work out similar to that of 8 days since there may be an offer on for a 10 day period, then if you were to return it after 8 days how would they be able to calculate how much you get back as you technically shouldn’t get any but if they refunded you it would have to be the rate divided by the 10 days with then giving you two days of it back. This is the issue when people return it early so thereforecar hire companies just warn people not too and to keep it for the full duration as it’s easy to do so.
We have however managed to find a supplier who will allow a refund for unused days for our customers. They do this by scaling the rate so you will only get back what the remainder of your rental period is worth as of what the current rates are.

Van Hire With No Credit Card
Van hire isn’t as common as car hire in the UK however, we can arrange this in a number of locations and we do all sorts of deals such as no deposit and young driver van hire, however one of the questions we regularly get is can you do van hire with no credit card? 24 Hour Car Hire Heathrow Airport
Heathrow airport the biggest airport in the UK and home to 4 different terminals that are busy at all hours of the day.
