How often do you change your oil? Many people are unaware of how often you must change your cars oil with two thirds of motorists in the UK admitting that they don’t know. A cars oil needs to be changed once a year at a minimum and according to new research people are oblivious to this. 3.7 million people believe that they can drive their car safely for three years without having to change their oil but they are however in fact risking serious engine problems that can have lasting effects and even in extreme cases the car can breakdown, keeping the oil fresh is essential. BMW have released the new i3 model in their normal way, inviting celebrities of course. Used to promote the £25,000 electric car was Sienna Miller and actor James Franco who turned up at Billingsgate to promote the new vehicle. Forty million wasted car and van tyres are brought about each and every year with until now no real solution to get rid of them other than the majorly polluting tyre graveyards, now however there is a responsible way of disposing of them. The Centre For Low Carbon Futures has established that liquid air could power cars in the near future, the concept of liquid air is that you cool down air until it becomes compact then you store it in an insulated object. The idea is when the air hits boiling point it expands forcing the air out thus creating thrust, the idea could also power ships, trains, lorries, motorbikes etc. They stress that this isn’t a concept for the distant future it is available now and in the past eighteen months there has been a small amount of demonstrations in the UK which have proved successful. The confederations cup brought Brazil a large amount of tourism money over the 15 days competition. The competition was always bound to bring money to the country but with the unrest the country is having about the cost of the FIFA World Cup it was more than welcomed that they earned a bit of revenue from this competition. 13,579 tickets were sold to foreigners and 111,569 to Brazilians despite ticket sales a large proportion of the money goes straight to the shops and local street vendors which ravished in the busy street around the stadium.
