Third Party Payments

When hiring a vehicle most companies ask that all payments are made on the main driver’s payment card and preferable using the same card all the way through the rental. To find out more about third party payments please see below.

Can someone else pay for my car hire?

Generally most hire companies require all payments to be made on the main driver’s payment card. There are ways around this if the main driver is unable to pay for the vehicle themselves. If you are travelling with someone who will be able to pay for the vehicle and holds a full driving license for at least 3 years then you may be able to put them as the main driver, and you the additional driver. If you would like to do this then please contact us directly to find out the options.

Can I pay for my sons/daughters car hire?

Depending on the location from which you are wanting the vehicle it may be possible to pay for your sons/daughters car hire. This depends on whether you will be with them when they pick up the vehicle and the location from which you are wanting to hire a vehicle. Please contact us directly if you would like to pay for someone else’s car hire.

Can my work pay for my car hire?

If you have a company payment card and your name is on the payment card, then you may be able to pay for your vehicle this way. The card must mention the main drivers name and be an eligible payment card. To find out the options please contact one of our agents directly.

Can my friend pay for my car hire?

This may be a possibility, however this depends upon the location from which you are wanting the vehicle and the type of payment card that your friend holds. If you need someone else to pay for your vehicle then contact us directly, as this service is not available on our website.

Can someone else pay for the car and I drive?

If the person that will be paying for the vehicle will be able to collect the vehicle with you and holds a full driving license, then you may be able to put them down as the main driver of the vehicle and you the additional driver. If they do not hold a driving license but still would like to pay for the vehicle, then this may also be a possibility. This depends on the location from which you are wanting a vehicle and is only available if you contact Indigo directly.
