New Qashqai – Lighter, Cheaper, Better
Nissan are set to release the new popular Qashqai in February 14` and the prices are actually slightly higher than the previous model starting at £17,595 for the petrol model. However the Qashqai does eventually work out cheaper as it’s in a lower BIK tax band due to its CO2 emissions, the diesel model also works out even cheaper in BIK tax saving you more money on a yearly basis, and after the big reveal last week the Nissan Qashqai looks to be a major competitor in the market.
The car is set to decline by a huge six BIK tax bands saving you a large amount each and every year on your tax bills. The previous initial model may have been cheaper however this new one works out much better in the longer run. This is definitely a car to consider either to hire (when it’s on the fleet of course!) or to buy.
The new lighter standard model comes with great features without having to pay extra, this includes automatic air conditioning, Hill start assist, 5” colour HD infotainment screen, chassis control, Tyre pressure monitoring system and speed limiter/cruise control which is all fitted in the cheapest standard model.
Qashqai’s are useful for families or group events, there are a range of engines from 1.5 – 2.0, the new Qashqai is going to be 5 seats instead of a 5+2 which is in order to promote their X-Trail. It will however still be a spacious 4×4 but more tailored towards 4-5 passengers at a time. We have a lot of the old Qashqai’s on fleet all over the world and we will get the new models soon after their February release.
The Qashqai is a liable car with great reviews that won’t let you down. It’s the perfect car for various different activities including winter sports such as skiing as the boot is spacious enough to fit all the equipment.
