Nissan Mistakes Cost Dearly

Nissan have been forced to recall 130,000 of their vehicles in Britain after there had been several complaints of the steering wheel just falling off in their hands. This will be the third time in 12 months that the Japanese car manufacture firm will have to recall their vehicles, the total damage to Nissan on a worldwide scale is having to recall a total 841,000 Micras a considerable amount that could seriously damage the business.

The previous issue was one of an airbag fault in which the airbag was calculated that it was possible to catch fire where 59,000 cars in Britain had to be recalled and 3.4 million vehicles worldwide. Their other previous fault was from the Qashqai model which saw the recall of a total 51,000 vehicles worldwide and 7,000 vehicles in Britain. This is a large total amount of vehicles both in Britain and on a worldwide scale, all these faults have come to light in the last 12 months
The reason Nissan have stated that the steering wheel is coming loose or coming off completely is due to the use of a new metal which caused the wheel to expand and contract depending on weather resulting in the nut attaching the wheel to come loose. This no doubt is a danger to passengers and a good reason to recall their vehicles as Nissan have to oblige safety standards, but the question is how many times does it take before Nissan realise that they are making some form of mistake in the manufacture process.

The total amount of vehicles recalled in twelve months has been massive and it surely can’t of made a huge profit as the production of other vehicles would have had to of been slowed to accommodate the repairs. It appears Nissan aren’t learning from their previous mistakes.
