Time Capsule Cars
50 years old and covered in dust left in nature to rot and deteriorate but never the less these cars are truly classics with a large value. These cars despite being locked in a garage for almost 50 years are young at heart, the dealership Lambrecht’s closed back in 1996 leaving cars sealed inside the buildings walls and got opened last month to reveal some extraordinary classic cars dating back more than 50 years.
The two pride cars and collectors’ items are the 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air and 1978 Chevrolet Impala which it has been stated that some of the cars to go under the auctioneers hammer could reach a six figure cost. So many of the discovered cars have almost zero miles on the meter making them desirable cars for fanatics who collect classic cars, there are 48 cars found to have fewer than 20 miles on their clock with the oldest car being 1958 and the newest 1980, throughout the time the dealership was open it stayed operating for 50 years before sealing its doors with just Mr and Mrs Lembrecht and a mechanic and during its time they sold thousands of cars that even today they are still proud of the achievements.
Now 95 and 92 years old they still say that the decision to sell the cars wasn’t an easy one because according to their daughter the cars “comprise a lifetime of hard work, tears and joy” giving sentimental value to the family. The Lembrecht’s daughter also claims that her father can still remember each cars individual story and that he hopes these rare collectibles will be the source of joy and inspiration for classic car enthusiasts everywhere, whatever happens that can be sure they will earn a lot of money from these low mileage classics.
