USA Upper Age Limits

There has been quite a bit of confusion over upper age limits in North America, many broker sites have been having this issue and we wanted to help clear the matter up and make people clear on the conditions. When hiring a car there are certain companies that require you to be under the age of 75 for insurance reasons as the companies they insure their fleet through will not allow it, however there are certain companies which will allow you to hire up until the age of 99 such as us here at Indigo Car Hire as we have special arranged deals with some of our suppliers.

The problem is caused when you look for a quote using our (and other brokers) online booking engine for a location within the USA, one of the supplying companies called “Avis” display that they do not accept drivers who are under 75 but this isn’t true.

We work with several suppliers who will allow us to book customers in who are over 75, Avis being one of them. If you are a senior driver we assure that we can help you we often urge people not to book online and to book with us directly, at the moment until this error is fixed we reiterate this as we will be able to arrange something for you over the phone.
