They believe that as long as its supervised it would help new motorists avoid some of the most common mistakes, its true in the fact that you are never taught to use a motorway when driving so most people pass and then learn from their mistakes which could be more dangerous than teaching those before they take their test. Australia and the United States already have a system in which their new drivers of the road can learn how to drive on a motorway before taking their test and if the UK decides to make the changes it will be more in line with how it\u2019s done over the pond.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Human error is said to be the main contributing factor in 71% of injuries and crashes on the motorway, Simon Best from the Institute of Advanced Motorists explains that the outcome of this should be that there are fewer incidents, injuries which should result in fewer delays and speed everything up on the whole, they can only see positives from this. However there are several arguments against letting learners on the motorway as it could be more dangerous for other drivers that are driving on the motorway at that time.<\/p>\n<p>The motorway becomes dangerous when there is someone driving at a much slower speed which is generally how several mistakes are made, learners will be more on edge at driving at such a high speed thereforewill be at a reduced speed causing more danger to drivers surrounding them. What\u2019s to say however that they won\u2019t do this anyway even after already passing their test?
