Our general answer majority of the time depending on the location and the supplier is six. This is industry standard as many only car hire companies only accept six points, some don&#8217;t accept any at all. It also depends on what you got your points for with convictions like a DR10 taking 5 years from the conviction date in order to be accepted for car hire where as for example speeding isn&#8217;t considered as serious in terms of when you get points on your licence and hiring.<\/p>\n<p>We have managed to negotiate a certain supplier that has several locations across the UK to bring you car hire if you have 9 points or lower. This is a 3 point improvement on the previous amount, however it does still depend in which you got your points or convictions for, please refer to our <a href=\"https:\/\/thealternativeagency.co.uk\/indigo\/faq\/driving-convictions\/\">driving convictions page<\/a> for more details on what points are considered more serious than others.
